The Salvation Army's Developmental Disabilities Program has been supporting people with disabilities since 1980. Today, we provide residential supports to 95 people in eastern Pennsylvania and the State of Delaware and have assisted hundreds to find work or participate in community life. Our staff are highly trained and experienced with providing supports to people with a variety of needs in diverse settings.
Our purpose is to enable people with disabilities to live as citizens in their communities in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. We are committed to serving the community by recognizing the gifts each person brings to community life and by supporting their efforts to achieve their potential.

Currently, The Salvation Army has Developmental Disabilities programs in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester and Montgomery Counties in Pennsylvania and Sussex, Kent, and New Castle Counties in Delaware.
